The 7th EATS Annual Conference

The 7th EATS Annual Conference was co-organised by Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan (ERCCT), School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and European Association of Taiwan Studies (EATS).
During the two days, 37 paper presenters from all over Europe, Taiwan and North America presented their latest research in 11 panels, covering topics concerning Taiwan literature, language policies, nativization, gender studes, domestic politics and economic integration across the Taiwan strait.
The 7th conference was of particular importance for EATS inasmuch as the Association took the opportunity of the gathering to turn itself from the loose membership association it had been before into a registered society, formally registered and seated in Tübingen.
